City of Lockport: Water an essential element of life

LETTER: Water is an absolute essential to all aspects of life and should never be played with in the political environment and its variety of shenanigans.

I recently read in the Lockport paper of the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent by our elected officials to study the entities Lockport and North Tonawanda. Is there a reason why Niagara County and Niagara Falls were not included in the study? A little background for those that may not have been around several years ago: A true shared service was established, the Niagara County Water District. Since a viable successful shared service exists, why, I ask, must we reinvent the wheel and spend thousands of dollars unnecessarily?
